Dysport is a cosmetic wrinkle treatment that smoothes dynamic creases and lines on the face, such as glabellar lines on the forehead. Similar to other types of wrinkle relaxer injectables, Dysport uses a clean form of botulinum toxin type A in order to temporarily soften or freeze certain muscles in your facial area. When these muscles are relaxed, the frequent muscle contractions that create dynamic lines will be stopped, and the skin attached to the muscle will be tightened. This will allow you to smile, frown, and make as many facial expressions as you want without resulting in dynamic lines. It also creates refreshed results that won't "freeze" your face. How Does Dysport Work?
Dysport treatments are carried out in a private room after your initial consultation, lasting no more than a few minutes. A numbing cream is usually not needed since Dysport is injected using a very fine needle, but it is available upon request. Once the treatment area has been cleansed, Dysport will be injected across the pre-selected area, followed by an ice pack to reduce bruising and inflammation. Once your treatment is complete at Body+Beauty Lab in West Palm Beach, you can resume your regular day-to-day tasks. However, we recommend refraining from strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours.
